I've got an article coming out on SSWUG.org about that very issue - password
obscurity.
The premise is the fact that many people, like you, use the same password on
every site.
You're no dummy - you know what a bad idea that is.
But you're also no Rainman - so remembering a matrix of sites and passwords
is insane.
My solution is to use an password algorithm that integrates the site name.
For example:
Suppose my every password is "GOOGLE"
And the site I'm logging into is "google.com".
I might interlace the two as "GgOoGgLlEe".
That way - I have a unique password for every site and never have to write
down a password ever.
All I gotta do is remember ONE password, and the algorithm.
