Hi, I'm using PHP and the Yahoo Search API, but I can't see a
reasonable explanation for the difference in totalResultsAvailable
and totalResultsReturned. Even when I specified results=25 in my
request I get the following in the result:

firstResultPosition: 1
totalResultsReturned: 12
totalResultsAvailable: 15

Why the discrepancy?
