Not at all. It's an exact parallel. You're asking about a third-party
library which interfaces to PHP. My parallel is for a system library
which interfaces to C. Your question is no more valid for a PHP
newsgroup than a Linux question is for a C newsgroup.
And so far you haven't asked a single question about coding in PHP.
You'll save yourself a lot of trouble if you ask package/product-related
questions in the support area for that package/product.
