I think I fixed this by going from this: 
$sql = "SELECT * FROM EDITORIAL WHERE editorialcomments LIKE '$Search 
%' "; 
 
to this: 
$sql = "SELECT * FROM EDITORIAL WHERE editorialcomments LIKE '%$Search 
%' "; 
 
And I think this fixed my initial problem, question
