Because you ignored this:
Posting of advertising and/or promotional material of any kind to
comp.databases.mysql is explicitly prohibited.
It followed that which you quoted above. Meaning, of course, it
further refined the first statement. The charter was carefully
crafted and discussed before the group was created. People here know
how to go to sourceforge on their own and find things that are of
meaning to them. They don't need it promoted in this technical forum.
You want adverts? Create an alt group.
In a nutshell, it was promotional material. It was off charter. Whine
