Without seeing more of your code, we won't be able to tell for sure, but
if I was a betting man, I'm going to say you didn't select the db (and
it's not in your query).
Right after you run your query, echo out mysql_error()
mysql_query ( $query );
echo ( "<br />" . mysql_error() . "<br />\n" );
