Paul,

Try enabling anything to do with ActiveX in the Custom Level Security
settings. I found one case (long forgotten) where this prevented
something that I didn't associate with ActiveX from working.

BUT, if you are using common settings for IE6 and it doesn't work, then
you really need to consider alternatives, as suggested by Disco Octopus.
You can't tell each of your site visitors how they must set their
security settings...
