Hi Toby,
Thank you. I had a configuration option for the online validator set to not
allow hexadecimal character references. I have now fixed this and have
improved the error message in case this situation should happen again. It
will now say:
The character reference "ト" is not recognized. If you want to use
hexadecimal references, then be sure to enable this option in the Validator
Engine Options.
