I still can't resolve this one. When I go to phpBB's install.php it says
"Unable to connect to the database".

But my 1-line phpinfo() looks OK (MySQL installed and
active), and I can access MySQL from the command-line
(I did so to set up the phpBB database and username).

What's the trick to getting PHP to talk to MySQL?

This is a virgin install of FC3 with the following:

I downloaded and unwrapped phpBB.2.0.11 as there doesn't
seem to be an RPM for it yet.

BTW last time I mailed this list I got all sorts of weirdo
answers from HR units thanking me for applying for the job.
