executing PHP from my website

Posted by Jan T on 10/17/37 11:28

Hi all,

I'm a complete newbie to PHP, but I want to use some to build a photography
website with SimpleViewer.

Here's what I do: I upload my files with WS_FTP LE, including a PHP script
that is meant to build the pages with thumbnails an the images.
According to the manual of SimpleViewer, I should _execute_ the PHP script
from within my FTP program, after uploading everything.
All that happens is that the PHP script file is downloaded again and loaded
into my standard editor.
If I try to run it from the browser by typing the full www stuff into the
adress bar, I only get a download again.

Can anybody point the way please...?

TIA!!!

Jan
