Well, yes. That and Gnumeric are available open source for Windows.
The problem with these (for me!) is attaching a remote MySQL server and
scripting my apps in the free and easy way you can do it with Excel/ADO/VB.
Gnumeric, in particular, seems to be Excel done better except it is still
weak in the scripting dept. and although it might be coming - development
is slow.
Wohh! I almost forgot Python with the MySQLdb and matplotlib modules.
If you don't mind programming, you can do the whole enchalada in Python.
Free, open source, and a great programming language portable
Linux<->Windows.
I'm going to have to check out the matplotlib myself soon :-)
