I've installed phpBB but note there is no spell checker, which seems
quite an omission. I found this spell checker for phpBB:

but the idea of calling a *remote* server to check my spelling is not
too attractive!! Who in their right minds thought of that one? It's hard
to believe they have users that are willing to pay for the right or
suffer their ads.
Are there any more solutions around?
If anyone can see the attraction of using a remote server to check
spelling, let me know what I am missing. Or is the reason people us it
simply there is nothing else available?
