Change default date rules interpretation

Posted by Dale on 12/22/05 07:27

Is there a way to change how MySQL interprets a 2 digit year? Currently a 2
digit year between 00-69 is interpreted as 2000-2069. I have more than a
million records that fall between 00-69 where many of them are valid 1900
dates. I would like to change the interpretation rules to be more like
00-15 as 20th century and the remainder being 19th century recognizing this
is not a failsafe method either...but it more approximates what my data is.

Thanks
