Assuming you mean MySQL, here's a simple example (HTML 4 used for
simplicity's sake):

<select name="fruit"><?php
$results = mysql_query("SELECT id,brand FROM fruit_table");
while ($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($results)) {
echo "<option value=".$row['id'].">".$row['brand'];
}
?></select>
