You're mad - it's not just web standards that write the unit like this -
take the following examples:
500m - 500 meters
100C - 100 degrees centigrade
50km - 50 kilometers
10li - 10 liters
70mi - 70 miles
12oz - 12 ounces
What planet have you been on if it's therefore not logical to write:
10px - 10 pixels
50pt - 50 points
???
