Seriously,.I was speaking symbolically, Robert. :-) Example:

($A or $B)
"If no other clinical signs, do either sides of the lumbar show symptoms?
Left? Right?"

($A)
"The left side shows significant pathology. Is the Left side
of the lumbar symptomatic? Yes? No?"

($B)
"The right side shows significant pathology. Is the Right side
of the lumbar symptomatic? Yes? No?"
