Aha, I have found it! Not using BT's own useless search feature, but
using Google:
http://www.btinternet.com/new/content/help/servers.html
The page is five years old (and I can't reach it through a BT site
search), but a quick test with Outlook Express shows
news.btinternet.com still works. Now I just need a decent newsreader
for Windows - a quick Google search suggests XNews
(http://xnews.newsguy.com/), but that site doesn't seem to have been
updated recently (the latest news is dated '3-Feb-2003'). Still, it's
not like Usenet has suddenly changed since 2003, so I'll give it a go.
Hopefully then this will be my last ever post from Google Groups.
