I had the same problem. Try:
$cfg['PmaAbsoluteUri'] = '';
/**

$cfg['PmaAbsoluteUri_DisableWarning'] = FALSE;
.......
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['host'] = 'localhost'; // MySQL hostname or IP
