Ok. I changed it but it was type="aext/css" which was wrong.

I could change that because I do not have any strong opinion for or against
it, so it is quite the same for me.
But would that affect the total width of the table on the page?

Ok. I understand now.
I try to shape a connection among each header and the cells which refer to
its respective header.
So, now I tried to define several t1, t2, t3 ..
and so on
I changed the colours to test whether the change is visible, although the
colours which I have tested so far are probably not the most suitable
Yes it is but it does not affect the width of the table,
yet.
