Noted. Taken by itself, yes, that certainly is a broad statement.
Point taken, I've been around long enough to know that all of what you
mentioned has changed (very quickly) with time.
My point (maybe not too clear?) was that I'll unplug my computers from
the network for security reasons before letting just anyone anywhere
run programs on my computers BEFORE I know something about how the
programs work, what they are supposed to do, etc. To not do so, is
asking for virus, spyware, and who knows what next infestations.
Because that is one of the things you didn't mention the advances of.
Not that I think you are in favor of such infestations. I hope that I
have correctly interpreted your point. :)
