Absolutely not: who said that an abbreviation has to be an
abbreviation for only *one* word???
Wikipedia: "Acronyms and initialisms are abbreviations such as NATO,
laser, or scuba, ..."
And please stop splitting hairs, I really would appreciate some
serious replies to my original post.
