I was configurating the publication and distribution from wizard in
enterprise
manager. Error msg: SQL server agent on "my m/c" currently uses a
system
account, which cause replication between servers to fail. specify a
domain
account for the service startup account.
so Instead of using system account, I use "this account", in the "this
account"
field, "localsystem" automatically shows up with a password. I accept,
but
still doesn't work. I don't know why "localsystem" appears. I could not
find
this account in sqlserver and my nt user in my domain.
so I go ahead and create a user abc in my nt domain and gave it all the
groups
priveleges. still doesn't work.
somehow, I don't remember what I have tried. in between there are other
error
messages:
"distributor_admin is not defined as a remote login at the server.
remote login
for the remote server 'repl-distributor' has been dropped."
-- don't know how to set up the distributor-admin and repl-distributor?
Can you shed a light on these? thanks a lot.
