That is why I said cc: it, I want others to learn from my question as
well, it just makes it easier for me to get the answer.

I do think the PHP-people know SOMEthings. Plus, it's the one group I
read all the time.

I did post to the relevant groups such as alt.comp.networking.routers &
a.c.n.firewalls, they're just not frequented as often.
