A script that sends email to *itself*? I don't think so.

It makes no difference what browser you use. PHP scripts run on servers.
They don't run in browsers.

The fourth parameter is supposed to contain additional *headers*, not bare
email addresses. Try this instead:
$from = "From: brian@test.com";
