Interested in building a poker client and interested in your opinions about
a few things concerning PHP. Forgive my relative ignorace in advance :)

Does PHP allow for encrypted/secure data transmission? This would prevent
another user from capturing the data and reading the "hole" cards.

Does it have it's own random number generator?

Is PHP cross-platform (can the same software be run on MAC and Windows
seemlessly)?

Is MySQL capable of storing millions of records with reliabiltity?

Do you think PHP would be a good choice for building a poker client with all
the security requirements?
