In my mind there's two different avenues, Zend Studio and Macromedia
Dreamweaver. Zend is cheaper and offers a lot of what Dreamweaver has,
but I chose Dreamweaver because everything works easier and it offers
everything I could need.
It supports check-in/check-out, synchronizations from your local --
staging -- live environments, and a great IDE for PHP development.
You can get a 30 day trial of each, I would play around but I think
you'll like Macromedia.
