no grand reason i can think of to upgrade to apache2 if you are gonna
use MPM...
as for the php5 upgarde, its not only the whole threadsafe issue in the
actual php engine as much as similar issues in many of the
non-threadsafe libraries used by many scripts.
The company doesn't want to break half it's customer's websites in
order to provide you with php5, something i wouldn't blame them for....
If i was them though, at this time since php 5 is picking up alot of
usage, i would offer my customers an opt-in to php5 (including possibly
and upgrade to mysql4/5
my own 2 cents....
