Hmm, maybe you can overwrite with ini_set.
I do not know if that will be better than error_reporting(E_ALL), but try
it.

Here is more:
http://nl2.php.net/manual/en/ref.errorfunc.php#ini.error-reporting

So try something like:
ini_set("error_reporting",E_ALL);

above your script.
