Lynx is pretty easy to use.
However, if you really can't, Opera has an "emulate text browser" mode.
Some people use a technique called FIR to use CSS to replace text in the
HTML with images, but I've always thought it's a bit naff myself.
The simplest way to give the search engine an idea of what's on the page
would be good alt texts. Depends on the nature of the site though, care to
post a link?
