Ok, here goes. I am looking at this through KDE Konqueror 3.3.2 and I will
also take a look with Mozilla Firefox 1.0.2.
1. The font is very small, and in particular the green on white is not high
enough contrast for me to read it easily without enlarging the font on the
page. It is ok once I enlarge the font, however I don't like to have to
and some people don't know how to.
2. With my default viewport settings, I have a really nice light grey edging
on the right side of the screen. In combination with the initially small
fonts, I am tempted to ask why? After all the space was there, why cramp
the content into 66% of the screen?
3. When my viewport is maximised for 800x600, I lose the right 10% of the
screen and have to scroll sideways as well as up and down. Much more
scrolling at lower resolutions. This may not be much of an issue for your
target audience.
4. When my viewport is set to that of a high end hand held, such as a cell
phone - your apparent target audience, I get just over 1/3rd of the
horizontal content. At typical resolution for an older handheld or cell
phone, it is further reduced to 1/5th or 20% of the horizontal content.
Since you are targeting cell phone users, you might want to consider
addressing this.
5. Text as graphics. In my books that is a no-no. You do however make up
for it with appropriate titles, so if I were to slap your hand, I would
have to do it gently.
6. Colours are nice, the only issue I have is with the green's contrast, in
particular with the small font.
7. Page is attractive and inviting. Good work. It is much better than the
majority of pages I have seen.
