Line breaks within quoted attributes is a no-no and should have been
correct. It is not your issue, that is correct, but I must say that your
markup has two issues that I would address.

1. Seems *way too* complicated and is going to be a real bear to debug.
So many nested DIVs. It appears like a old nested TABLE layout where now
DIVs have be substituted.

2. Even though your have DIVs your layout is not flexible at all. It is
a ridged 981 pixels regardless of view port. Changing the content of the
middle DIV has no effect on the 583 width (BTW Firefox with WebDeveloper
bar is very revealing, Opera has a similar tool)

It would be a real pain if I where a poor student with a meager laptop
what has a max 800x600 display! Might I suggest yo take a peak at this page
