Sorry, I don't do the whole "spoon fed" education. Everything I know
was derived on my own through experimentation, analysis, trial and
error, etc. I am not a walking encyclopedia of OTHER people's
supposed knowledge and understanding like so many of you kids...and
hey, it's workin so far:
http://www.sarcastic-caret.net/wedding/
Do YOU have a Flash site with integrated PHP functionality? No? Huh,
funny that. *shrugs*
The code in its current form probably isn't as streamlined as it could
be, but it works and everytime I do something (on my own)...I improve.
Meaning that if I go through the existing code every couple weeks and
analyze other people's code snippets I'll be able to able to achieve a
level of perfection that most of your little...books, probably never
even come close to matching. Like nyah:
http://www.backwater-productions.net/_test_platform/liquid/JS_source.txt
and nyah:
http://www.backwater-productions.net/_test_platform/liquid/PHP_source.txt
Which makes nyah:
http://www.backwater-productions.net/_test_platform/liquid/
Perfect liquid website, cross browser compatible PNG alpha
transparencies, user moveable object...pretty slick stuff.
Again though...what the fuck have you got? Or are you just one of
these guys who TALKS a lot...I find that...book people, tend to do
that a lot. They're REALLY good at telling you what they read about,
but then not so good about actually IMPLIMENTING any of it. Kinda
funny how that works. ^_^
>Using either a manual parsing,
Whose parsing what now? Are you just reading this out of a book or
something? LOL Seriously, what are you saying? Do you know?
>or something like the XML Shortcuts
>class to retrieve information stored in an XML file allows you

...."virtually complete freedom"...uh...to do...WHAT exactly? Hey, why
don't you just skip the bullshit and jump right to the LIVE example of
what your XML bullshit can do that, 10 to 1 says I can do without
it...most likely with more efficiency...and a LOT less techno babble.
>in your dynamic design, or in your

Blah, blah, blah...boy you certainly can say a lot without actually
saying...ANYTHING at all.
>Many of the components for Flash are driven my XML.
....really? Like what, specifically?
>The menu and tree component are two examples.
....what menu and tree components? Oh, wait, yer talkin about
Macromedia Flash, the program that does everything for you cause you
don't know how to do it yourself using SwishMax, sorry, my bad.
Oh, but back to your babble, um...how EXACTLY are they "driven" by
XML? I mean, XML doesn't really DO anything...it's more of just a way
of tagging shit...which, really you could do WITHOUT XML...but then I
guess someone just needed to develop some new shit to try and pad
their resume with, huh? Gotta love useless technology, solving all
the problems that we, well, never actually had in the first place.

....um, then why didn't I need it to make nyah:
http://www.sarcastic-caret.net/wedding/
o_O
Here, let me make this REALLY simple for you...what could I do on that
site that I COULDN'T do without XML? Take your time now, think it
through, consult your borrowed knowledge (books) if ya need to.
