Explain more according what exactly do you want to achieve. Because I
don't get it ;)

Maybe you want to insert the value of $veg? So set the parameter 1 to
$veg. Look into the oci documentation how this works because I don't
know oci. Well maybe I am wrong because I am just guessing.
