That doesn't explain why you are using a cursor. It also doesn't
explain the need for dynamic SQL. Both are things you should avoid when
you can, I think that was what Erland was trying to get at.

Whenever possible please post enough code to reproduce your problem.
Including CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements usually helps.
State what version of SQL Server you are using and specify the content
of any error messages.
