First of all, you probably know that UTC and Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
refer to the same time zone. The only difference between them is that
UTC is measured using an atomic clock, while GMT is measured by
observing the stars (which means that GMT is subject to small
irregularities in Earth's rotation, while UTC is not). For your
purposes, it's safe to assume that UTC and GMT are the same, so
outputting time using gmdate() should do the trick...
