well martin, i was asking you to define *yours*...you simply are unclear at
what it is you are stating and what you are considering fact.

hmmmm...name me a db NOT accessible via a sql AND someone who employs that
technology. then, let's compare those that DO, AND the number of people who
utilize those. Then based on YOUR estimation that this is a new developer,
we'll estimate the number of new users who actually use a non-sql based
interfaced db.
AND BTW, since i use the word "assume", no one should take any statement
following its use as FACT...it is mere probability. there are very few
"facts" in this world (even in math)...yet you keep throwing the word about.
i'd avoid getting caught up in that line of thinking.
i think what you'll find is in fact "that it is very much safe to
assume"...with a degree of certainty very near to 1. it seems you are
grasping at straws which is causing you to throw up any not-to-logical
argument to cover your ass.

one can only filter it out or ignore its existence. should you care not to
be flamed in the future, do not offer your bad programming habits to the new
or otherwise impressionable inquisitors. it creates more work for the rest
of us who are stuck with the task of "polishing a turd" - a task not easily
or readily accomplished!
FINALLY, what i find most interesting is that you'd like to have this go to
alt.flame. do you think i don't/wouldn't notice. you're a real piece of
work!
