Thanks, all. Lots of Brits, I see.
I am an accountant in the States. The grind is killing me, and I don't
want to do the CPAs. I'm considering smaller-scale programming as a
career. My strengths include SQL, html, CSS, and VBA. As I am
learning php and MySQL, I'm liking it more and more ...
Hence the quesiton in the first place - is it doable for a non-CS
degree guy to actually get a job in the area, or employers snub
newcomers like me?
