I think we are using the wrong terminology here... There are about 120
custom solution developers for QuickBooks in North America (sorry, I
don't have stats on PeachTree). These are mostly small companies that
rarely hire. In addition, they are scattered all over the place, so
it's highly unlikely that one of them happens to be close enough to you
(although checking it out wouldn't hurt):

So if this is the kind of work you would like to be doing, you should
be prepared to do it as your own business (with all its ups and downs),
not employment.
