This is fairly amazing reasoning. I say if you are making a site
now... you refer to something made years ago. I say you need a
reason if you are making now, ... you go on as if I had not said
this. And then, for good measure, you create an artificial class
for polemic reasons:
Fancy things:
strict doctype
php
cms
other fancy ideas
6000 pages... mmm. Good for you and all working well. I would not
dream of telling you to change things unless there was a special
reason that came up. Don't misunderstand.
Let us step back though. If you were starting the 6000 pages now,
from scratch, why would you not use a Strict Doctype. Is it
harder to write? Are you wanting things that are not easily
accommodated by Strict? Do you attach great importance to
validation? If a strict does not validate, it may very well still
work under your idea of work.
Perhaps validation should be one of the members of your "fancy
things" class?
