Oh pray tell, what and where are these "REAL web design communities" ?
Because outside of wally wally land, in the *REAL* world, Zeldman,
Bowman, Shea, Berners_Lee et al are highly acclaimed web architects. Not
only do these people produce quality, usable and accessible websites
that are visual appealing, they also guide the industry on web standards
and practices. As such, Berners-Lee heads the W3C, Zeldman runs a world
renowned emag, has written books and setup the Web Standards Project
(WaSP), and people like Shea run sites that develope and aid the
webdesign industry, such as the CSSZenGarden.
Hatter seriously, people are trying to help you. Whether you believe
what we say or not is upto you. But rest assured, you are NOT years
ahead of everyone else in webdev. What you are doing isnt done by
professionals for the simple fact that it doesnt work and/or isnt
suitable or productive. You've only just jumped on the Flash craze from
the LAST CENTURY, which puts you 4-6 years behind the rest of the world.
You can either join the rest of us in developing future solutions and
integrating standards, or you can stay back in the 90's. The choice is
yours.
And for what its worth, earlier this month even Microsoft started to
work towards a more standardised internet, in an effort to decrease
production times, cut down on compatibilty issues and enable more
productive creation of websites.
Like I said, the choice is yours. If you want help, opinions or advice,
then thats fine, Im sure no one has a problem with it. but when people
say something doesnt work - listen, re-evaluate the issue and modify
your code, otherwise you'll have to rely on spamming usenet with your
link in order to get any hits.
