As much as the hatter creature is a vile, worthless waste of space, it
does have several valid arguments in terms of the website.
First, unless someone actually complains about the registration
information, ICANNN will not take any action. Even then, updating
information can be done at-will. If someone complained about my contact
info not being valid on perfectreign.com, I could either validate it or
correct it, and then change it back in the future.
Second - posting a picture of someone - AFAIK - is not illegal. Even if it
is a derivitive work one would need to get a lawyer involved and sue for
copyright. That's a tort not a criminal action.
So if Terry wants to take Mattie to court, he's free to do so. Of course,
he'll have to file in the district in which the supposed tort occured, and
then pay to serve Mattie, who may not even show up. If Mattie loses or
doesn't show up, then Terry will get a judgement for whatever damages
there are. (I'm guessing not much.) Terry then can try to collect.
He may have to fly up to WallaWalla to knock on Mattie's door, since
Mattie probably won't pay attention to the judgement collection requests,
like most people don't.
