Do your promotions paint a word picture so full of life and color that your readers feel like they already "own" your product?
Suppose you were able to pick up your readers and take them to your business. To do this with words, they must be both powerful and descriptive.
Heres an example.
A child might say "I want a deluxe train set with 8 cars, a red caboose, and a track that goes in a tunnel. I want the one with the red stripe down the side and steam coming out. And, you can see through the windows and...."
Now, lets enhance that same paragraph with powerful descriptive words.
"I want THE SUPER deluxe train set with 8 BRIGHT SHINY cars, a BRILLIANT red caboose, and a track that WINDS through a ROCKY tunnel. I want the BIGGEST AND BEST engine with the BOLD red stripe that STREAKS down the side and BILLOWY steam PUFFING out. And, you can GAZE through the windows and..."
This second example clearly adds power to the message. As you read this, the words take you beyond seeing just any train with a red caboose. These words make you feel the PASSION and THRILL the child feels. They pick you up and take you there.
Each of your promotions should be as though the reader is right there with you. Chose words that RE-ENERGIZE the mundane descriptions and make them more DAZZLING. Dont just tell a story-PORTRAY it. Use words that will REV UP your readers. Instead of perfect, try FLAWLESS. Rework old phrases like "saves you time" and use TIMESAVING. Instead of "bringing more business" have customers FLOCK or SWARM! Is your product ULTRA or SENSATIONAL? Is it just "affordable" or is it MERELY a few dollars? Maybe you have an ARSENAL or a STOCKPILE of resources and a COMPELLING offer. Dont just add to something, ENHANCE it. You never want to just "start" a project, LAUNCH it!
By all means, dont let this just work for you, let it work MAGIC!
These are just a few of the most powerful and descriptive words that youll find in some of the most expensive ads and TV commercials. They are proven to be ESSENTIAL for success.
So, heres the SCOOP! Start your own list of the powerful words you find in magazines, newspapers, billboards and TV. Keep it at your FINGERTIPS to create REFRESHING, CRISP promotions. Doing this will ELECTRIFY your business!
