Writing That Article

So you want to start writing articles but dont know what to write about? Write about what you know. What does that mean? Start brain storming for ideas.

Are you a working married mom? You could write about juggling your work schedule, time with your kids and time with your husband.

Do you have problems finding a good babysitter? You could write an article about what to look out for with babysitters.

Are you a single parent? You could write about the trials and tribulations of a single parent and how to deal with them.

Are you good at organizing your time? You could write articles on organizing ones time.

Do you have a favorite hobby. If so write about it.

Are you a gardener? If you you could write mini tutorials on how to raise a garden.

What ever you decide to write about make sure you know enough to keep writing on the subject.

Now you have a subject what do you do next? You can mind map, make out an outline, or just start writing. To use the mind map method you write down your subject or title in the middle of your page and cirlce it. Your map would look something like this.

Specific-------Subject/Title-------------Specific

You would put the specifics around to whole cirle until you are done. The next technique that was mentioned is an outline. Start your outline as follows:

I. Subject
A. specific
1. detail about specific
2. detail about specific
B. specific
1.
2.

II. That is the basic idea for an outline. You can even break the 1 and 2 down even further if you have to. Dont worry about the specifics: spelling, grammar and so on. You can alway go back and change that after you write the article. The outline is just to use for guidance. And now for the last technique that was mentioned, just writing. Some people can just start writing and keep writing and have a rough draft. Then you would go back later and change details, add details, delete details, check spelling and do whatever needs to be done.

In all of these methods dont worry about spelling, grammer, those exact words and so on. All of that can be changed or corrected later. Just relax and go with the flow.

After you write your article let it lay for a couple of days. That way you can look at your article with a new eye, with a fresh perspective. At that time you can proof read your article and make those neccessary changes.
