Sam, My Border Collies Internet Marketing Advice! Part 2

Category: E-mail Marketing Date: 2002-06-11
Sam (thats my 12 year old Border Collie) and I were walking again through the Bush (Australian countryside). Sam as usual was ranging out from me checking for the Eucalyptus trees that needed his complete focus.

Yesterday Sam had explained to me the rules for handling spammers that send you their bounce back ads. If you werent with us yesterday you can get a copy of Sams advice at: http://www.marketingnewsnewsletter.com/articlex6.html

Today Sam had promised me he would give me a more detailed explanation about how to engage the spammers bounce back ads.

When we reached our usual rock beside the fallen log Sam continued to tell me how he had doubled his income by helping spammers to become professional Internet marketers.

"Hey its not easy but if you follow the rules I gave you yesterday you cant go too far wrong.

Remember I said you need to study their ad and check out their offer? Well this is where you can get a good start. You have a sound knowledge of the product. Sometimes youll find you know more about their product than they do themselves.

So you send them an e-mail and ask them for a bit more information. Something like this;

Gday Blue,
thank you for the information about your program. Ive just had a look at the information on your Website and I have a couple of questions for you.

You know on page 2 of your site where it says I can get all this advertising for FREE? Blue, please give me some more details about the results youve experienced from this program and also Blue, could you tell me what kind of support you get from your up-line.

Thanks Blue,
I look forward to hearing from you soon,

Sam, the 12 year old Border Collie.

Keep it short and sweet and dont forget your sig tag. You are now in control, you are asking the questions. Youll find that most of your e-mail will be answered. If theyre not or your e-mail bounces, delete and block them and concentrate on the ones that answered.

As you know Gordon, I specialise in the training side of Internet marketing so Im looking for two things
1. An opportunity to help them succeed, and...
2. The opportunity to present my training program.

When the spammer answers your e-mail you can get a general idea about their expertise. You will often get the opportunity to make a helpful suggestion about their program or offer to let them advertise on your FFA site for FREE if the figures they give you for their advertising results are not much.

Whatever you do, dont mention your own program/s until you have been talking back and forth for at least a few e-mails and you have had the opportunity to be of some help to them for which they have expressed thanks.

Then and only then is it in order to say something like You know Blue I really appreciate your thanking me for that bit of help. I always get a kick out of helping a fellow marketer. The company I represent on the Internet always says,

If you can help enough people across the river you will always get over to the other side yourself.

As your dialogue continues you will often be asked what Company are you involved with? Dont rush in, just let them know that all the advice you have been able to give them came from the members knowledge bank and youre welcome to have a look at my web-site without any obligation.

If youre not asked about your program within a reasonable number of e-mails slow down and end an e-mail with Blue, if I can ever be of any more help to you, just let me know. You can then keep these suspects In the warm basket and write to them later asking, how are you getting on with your program?

There are thousands of ways that you can communicate with spammers, you will simply have to develop questions and ways to approach people that will coincide with your program

Sometimes youll find people who have no interest except to promote their product and are not interested in anything else.

Usually these people do not have a great Net-life expectancy and unless you can show them that helping others is the key to Internet success, youd be better to wave them goodbye. You certainly dont want people like that in your downline.

How you develop a dialogue depends on the program you promote and your ability and preparedness to help others.

One things for sure, if you follow a plan to always follow up on the spammers, youll win over a percentage and that could easily double your present income.

Another benefit comes from the fact that you will be able to convert many of the spammers to becoming marketing professionals.

I cant see you running out of prospects (suspects) in the foreseeable future, can you?"

I think Ive given you enough information to enable you to get started, all you have to do now is get started.

By the way dont you think its time you took me home for lunch?"
