How can you possibly get more subscribers for your ezine? Yes there is advertising, ad swaps, and so on. Well today we arent going to discus those ways. However, what we are going to discus is other ways to get new subscribers. Those ways include driving traffic to your website, using ezine directories that allow your subscribers to rate your ezine. using ad co-ops and putting testimonials on your web site. Yes, these ways require you to have a web site but the LOW cost and time involved is worth it.

- driving traffic to your web site

This can be done in various ways, the search engines, signature files, and advertising.

Using the search engines can be tricky. That doent mean you should ignore them though. Optimize your site, do your best. However, you may want to read some tutorials on search engines first, read and learn what you can. Go to your favorit search engine and search for "search engines" or "search engines tutorials". Be sure to include the quotation marks.

When using signature files put them on all of your outgoing email. Be sure to use a sig file that grabs attention. You may even want to put a line such as below around your signature file.

Or use any other decorative border that you like. Put one at the top of your signature file and one at the bottom.

Now advertising can also drive traffic to your ezines web site. Make sure all ads include the url of you site. Make sure your ads grab the readers Attention, gets their Interest, creates a Desire, and asks for Action (otherwise known as AIDA.

When potential subscribers see testimonials this may be what they need before they will subscribe to your ezine. Once they see that others have recommended your ezine, like your ezine ... then they wont be as hesitant to subscribe. It may make the difference to getting that new subsciber and not getting that subscriber.

There are several ezine directories on the web that will allow your subscriber to rate your ezine. The higher your ratings are, the higher your ezine will be on the list. This will allow more potential subscribers to find your ezine, which will result in more new subscribers. Now remember, these methods do require a web site. You will also need a domain name and a web host, and no I dont mean a FREE web host. Free web hosts = trouble and end up resulting in lost time and money.

Getting a domain name isnt as expensive as it was before. Now you can get hosting for around $10 a year and up. Paid web hosting you can get for around $10 a month and up depending on what you are looking for.
