Are ya GONNA do it? Or do ya GOTTA do it?

Not exactly proper grammar, but you get the idea! At least, I hope you do.
This article is going to be short and right to the point.
Its fine to say, "Okay, Im going to try this. Ill join this program, Ill market it all over the place, and Ill make a go of it." No pressure, no have-to (hardly anything at all).
How much better will you do in whatever you choose if you know you HAVE to do it? Youve just about exhausted all your resources. Youre getting desperate, and youre getting
HUNGRY!!!!! So now you get dead serious and throw everything youve got into your program. You get enthused! You get emphatic! You get energized!
And thats exactly what it takes, folks! Enthusiasm sells! I remember an old story someone told me years ago about Frank Bettcher. He was trying to sell Andrew Carnegie on
investing or promoting the game of baseball. When he finished, the man he was trying to sell just looked at him and remarked, "Well, Mr. Bettcher, baseball must be a pretty boring game."
"Oh, no, sir—baseball is a most exciting game!" Bettcher exclaimed. That casual remark got his steam up, and he became inflamed and showed the utmost passion as he proceeded to describe the process all over again, but this time he made it come alive!
When he finished, Mr. Carnegie observed, "Now thats more like it! Now youve sold me!"
Bettcher had forgotten all about selling and convincing and persuading. His natural zeal and enthusiasm for baseball came through, and thats all it took.
He talked as if his life depended on it, but he never let it appear that way. He just got excited and enthused about his program.
So if youre about to make a "last ditch" effort at this marketing game, make sure you choose something that you can get up a head of steam and enthusiasm about.
And if youre already in a program and cant seem to get that enthused about it, DROP IT NOW . . . youre wasting your time . . . and get something you CAN get worked up about, just as if your life depended upon it.
