The right kind of worker for telecommuting is someone, who is dedicated, well organized, disciplined and doesn't need much direction or prodding. But they also need to know when to walk away from the work and call it a day. Many people who work from home tend to put in more hours than they would if they were in an office. The home office tends to be comfortable, convenient, and can be free of distractions that are in a large office environment. A normal and reasonable quitting time should be part of your daily routine.

You must have the right equipment to be a telecommuter. Telecommuters need the same technology at home that they would use if they working onsite. At least one separate telephone line (preferable with a voice mail) is essential. Depending on the type of work being performed, it would help to have a dedicated fax machine, a computer with access to the Internet, and/or any company-related private network(s).

A pager may also be a very good idea to ensure your employer is able to get in contact with you when needed.

There are many telecommuting JOBS. Honest companies that want to employ people with different skills. It can be very discouraging to those who are looking for honest work and can't find it, but there is still hope. You just have to know where to look. If you are serious about becoming a home worker, you must have the necessary skills and requirements to get a REAL HOME JOB.
