How Loyal Do You Have To Be?

Category: Home Based Business - Getting Started Date: 2003-06-19
How many of us have joined a company thinking it was the one that would help you reach success? And then find out something is wrong for you. From what I can gather, plenty of us. Many times I get e-mails from people stating they have finally found a company that works for them after trying many different companies or programs.

Does this mean you are a network marketing junkie? Not necessarily. No one knows exactly what a company will be like before they get involved with them. Its hard to get to know all the facts before you sign up. Especially if you are just starting out in this business, it is hard to know just what to look for.

You may get involved with a team that you feel will help you reach success. Maybe you even love the products. But then something goes wrong. Either you dont get along with your teammates, or you finally read the fine print in your contract, and say "Hey, this isnt for me after all." What then? Your enroller has been terrific and you have gotten to be good friends. Should you stay with this company just because you feel guilty for ditching on your new friend? Or because you dont want it to get around you are a quitter? In one word--NO!

You have to think about yourself first. What are you trying to achieve? Are you reaching your goals you have set for yourself? Honesty should be top on your list in any business. If you are unhappy with your company or team, how can you honestly sell this business to someone else? I dont know about you, but I wouldnt be able to live with myself. What kind of business will you be able to generate for yourself or your up line? Not much I am afraid. Its not fair to yourself or your up line. They need people that like what they are doing and believe in the company as they do. If you dont believe in the company or products, you might as well search to find something you do like.

First off you have to believe in yourself. Then you have to believe in the products, your company and your team. This doesnt mean you should give up after trying a month or two with a company and not making thousands a month. A home business takes time to build. Success doesnt usually happen overnight. But if there is a definite problem, it might be best for all involved if you get out.

Next, take some time to search for what is right for you. Dont jump into the first thing that comes along. Research the new company you have found. Talk to a few different people on different teams and see what their general attitude is like. Tell them up font you will be signing up with someone else, but want to get another opinion. Most professional business people will be glad to help you. If you are helpful, they may just remember you and come back to YOU.

If someone in your down line is unhappy and tells you they are leaving, be professional about it. Thank them for trying your business and accept the fact it is not going to work with them. Wish them well and go on with your own business. Being professional about it will only help your business. By being a poor sport and getting angry, will only leave open the possibility for rumors to spread bad things about you or your business, and create hard feelings.

The same goes for the person leaving the business. It is to your advantage to act professional as well. State something is wrong, and move on. But dont spread rumors about the company. Someone else may work out fine. It does not do any good to go around slamming people or companies all over the internet. This is a real business. If you want to be taken for a professional, you must act like one.

If you are truly unhappy with your company or business partners, do everyone a favor and find something you are happy with. You will be glad you did.
