Positive Thinking
Category: Home Based Business - is it for YOU? | Date: 2003-06-18 |
"So a man thinketh, So a man becometh." Think about it. Think about all the times you believed you couldnt accomplish a feat, task, or situation... and of course you didnt. Now, think about all the times you were on your game. Your insides filled with self-confidence. You knew you could do it. You were thinking like a winner! And sure enough, you succeeded. Just like you knew you would.
I remember all the "nay-sayers" who thought, my friend would never make the track team when we were in Junior High School. He never thought for a moment, he wouldnt. He made the team with 2 seconds to spare. Then there were the "ill wishers" who laughed when he said he was going to attend college. He never thought for a moment he couldnt accomplish this. He was accepted at a local college and graduated with a 3.5 average.
Later on, after working at a gosh awful boring job, he decided to learn how to use computers. "Oh computers are too complicated," his supervisor admonished. "Stick to accounting." He soon discovered computers were actually easier to master than he thought. He was the first in the department to use the new desk top PCs. This was over a decade ago. Soon, he was training all the new employees (and some of the old ones) on how to operate the new computers.
Then, another brilliant idea hit. His accounting department was downsized. He was one of the first fired. Now was the time to pursue his dream. He would pursue a writing career. "It will never work." Screamed the "naysayers." He had written a few articles in college and several short stories. And knew he enjoyed writing. To everyones surprise(not mine) he sold a dozen short stories, a dozen or so articles, and authored 3 Novels, published a childrens book. Won a writing contest. Now, he is a free-lance writer, working out of the home, and living his dream.
What is the moral behind this article? Never listen to the ill wishers, the naysayers, the negative people, who scoff at your visions, ideals, goals about starting a home business. Think Positive.
And of course there are the ill wishers, naysayers, and negative people who will say that concept is far too simple. Thinking positive. Well, sometimes life is...just that simple.
Think Positive!
