Your Word is your Most Valuable Advertising Tool

When I first started getting swept up in this wonderful and exciting world of internet marketing, almost 2 years ago, I was quickly scammed and shammed into every great "make money from home" program I could find, or that could find me!

I cannot honestly blame my gullibility on GREED, more like ignorance and determination to find a way to contribute to the family budget while still being home to with my husband and children without spending half of my earnings on childcare.

I fell for the "as seen on tv" send $5 to 4 people and get these terrific money-making reports before I had even heard of chain letters and pyramid schemes being on the internet.

I must say in my own defense that I did not fall for these same things in the "real" world that came my way via snail mailings.

For some reason I still cannot figure out, I was so naive and innocent when I got on the net, I just figured no one would be lying or even exaggerating here!

I had started out, as most new marketers do, with a couple of safe lists to mail ads to and some free web page services.

Imagine my surprise, shock and mortification when not only freeyellow, but also hotyellow tech support warned me to take those scamming chain letter/pyramid report offers off of my web sites!

I had quite honestly paid for the reports, $20 and spent two hours printing out the reports once I got the 4 separate email downloads and since the reports were actually good ones, and to this day, I believe are actually WORTH $20 if just sold outright without the chain letter participation, I still wonder somewhat if it was not the approach that was illegal and/or unethical.....but I wrote that one off to experience and jumped right into my next "sure thing", the incredible employment agencies that for only $29.95 would find ME the perfect at home job, when in fact, the three I tried were pretty much the same idea, my way of making any money would be to sucker other gullible home work seekers into buying the same program and I would make a percentage on my "sales".

I got really lucky, within a month I had "met" the man who would become my first Upliner in a real and successful bizopp and he took me under his wing and taught me how to weed through MOST, though of course, not all, of these "get rich quick schemes" and how to really check out a program, service or product before jumping in and getting ripped off.

And there began my CAREER as a very happy, fulfilled and successful "Internet Marketing Warrioress".

It has since been my goal and my biggest motivation to help every "newbie" I can find and to steer them away from the scams and shams and rip-offs. I could have made a LOT more money with very little effort once I knew where and how these cons appeal, but I have said from the very first day I tried to find a work at home forum, my name and credibility are going to be LONG-LIVED, not short-lived like those who make their quick bucks and then must disappear from the cyber-world.

I still get caught up in the occasional offer that turns out to be a scam or rip-off and could easily make my investment back and THEN dump the program or service, but I choose to be proud of my name and the "nearly famous-ness" I have achieved by taking it slowly and honestly, day by day and my very FIRST downlines and marketing friends are still ALL ready to take anything I show them on trust because they KNOW me and know my word is my most valuable advertising tool.
